National Summary:
Hot, dry northwesterlies are gusty across northern SA, VIC, NSW and QLD leading to Catastrophic fire danger in some parts. A front and trough are bringing showers, storms and a cooler change to SA, western VIC and TAS. Southerly winds are bringing a few showers to southern WA.
The polar jet is directing a front and showers across southern WA. The sub-tropical jet is sending some moist air over WA and SA which is helping showers and storms near the trough become heavier.
